As two professionals leaving twenty-year corporate careers in 2002, we established Consignments Etc as a service business dealing in consignments. Our goal was achieved to establish the "Best of the Best" in consignment stores in the Chicago area, as was acknowledged by North Shore Magazine.

Consignments Etc... opened in June of 2002 as a lighting gallery in Kenosha, Wisconsin.  In December of the same year, an additional store twice the size of the Kenosha store was opened in Highwood, Illinois, located between Lake Forest and Highland Park. Once again, as the business grew, we expanded by converting a second floor area into an additional bright and airy sales floor.  This gave Consignments Etc over five thousand square feet in which to display higher quality furniture from North Shore homes and excess inventories of higher end department stores.

In 2006 we opened our second Highwood store, Jordan Joseph Encore.  This provided an additional outlet dedicated to offering only the best in ladies' apparel at well below market price.  At this store, we offer designer labels, business, sports and formal wear.  Plus furs, handbags, gloves and hats. In addition, costume and estate jewelry are offered.

Private personal appointments as well as shopping parties for three or more are available. Church groups, private groups and charities have used this service.  Individuals having used this service found it to be an enjoyable and unique experience.
